1st Year Anniversary = Paper

Being Married has been blissful and, well, it's official, I have been married for a year now! What an amazing year, filled with wonderful memories, with the most amazing man ever! I had such a hard time trying to come up with the perfect gift for the perfect man, and with paper??

Traditionally, the 1st Anniversary Gift is paper. The modern take on this is a clock, well books came to mind and a watch would be fun, but I really wanted to spend more time and thought on this one, so here's what I did.

Using my FABULOUS Cricut Expression2 machine, I cut 365 hearts out on colored paper. On each of these hearts, I wrote 1 reason why I love Mark, so he could take one out each day of the following year, and know exactly why he is so special to me. I put all of the hearts in a classy looking box that I got from Michael's for $2! You could do this, or perhaps start a notebook of memories or something sentimental for the paper anniversary.

To finish it off, I went a little crazy, but hey, we needed it. I finagled the whole "clock" idea into time. Mark and I had our camera stolen last year, so we needed a new one, and it was the perfect time to get one. I handmade him a card and let him know that this camera was to represent our future, and capture moments and memories in time. He loved it, and I felt really good about it too!! What are some of your best anniversary gift ideas??
